Joke of a decision.
Game is run by complete numpties.
Dont suppose we will get an official explanation from the FA as to why he is being stood down.

I'll answer in turn.

No joke, paid independent official with no authority to involve himself in MCFC or AFC business.

The numpties/assoicates who just overturned VK's red card.

No need for an official explanation, it's an internal corporate decision. Ideally, they could provide a clarification but they are not obliged to do so.

He made a polite suggestion to aknowledge fans, fuck the regulations.

Discretion should be applied and those acting like this are doing so because they are twats.
A quick word in his ear "don't do that again eh" would suffice.

Now they are essentially giving him financial penalties for it and it's shit mate i couldn't give a hoot about the rule book when it's being used as a sheild by faceless arseholes who feel slighted .
They are quick to hammer this fella but dither like pathetic fools on any issue they should be dealing with (see racism)

They apply what rules they like to what they like to suit them, to much self serving and not enough transparency.

This!

Have you thought that his comment wasn't meant to be caught on cam?

How many times do you hear what officials and players say after the game? Hardly any cos Sky are running their commentary over the top.

The guy was unfortunate and because of that, there is this silly storm.

100% worse has been said on prior occasions and not been picked up.

Was Sian Massey taken out of the spotlight after the Keys and Gray scenario?

Like others have said, the PGMOL/Select group could have had a word in his shell like, something along the lines of "Don't say anything if there's a camera there". For all we know he might always say things like this that don't hit the headlines because they're not caught on camera.

As for being "Taken out of the spotlight", what a load of bollocks. The referees and assistants make a career out of being in the spotlight, it's what they aspire to. They know that their decisions are under the utmost scrutiny. If all assistants were "Taken out of the spotlight" when they made a bad call or an error of judgement then they'd all be stood down.
