just reading some stuff on twitter from LFC fans etc "king kenny's huge transfer plans can only be achieved if LFC get top 4" right so thats not gonna happen
Pepe Reina fears it may take liverpool up to 3 years to challenge for the title..........light years? or normal years? do me a favour. there are at least 5 teams better than the dippers, by a long way

It's funny, but whenever you hear a liverpool fan complaining on the radio they never have a scouse accent. Even if Liverpool beat us and win the League Cup and do well through the rest of the season (not making 4th though as that's just impossible I think)....they are still at least 6 top quality players away from a real challenge on the title. And by the time the bridge the gap they'll have other holes to fill.
They are one of the few teams that can take advantage of the new FFFP rules though as they have a huge fanbase but as we showed that it takes years to bridge the gap and they've proven with Carroll and Downing and Henderson that they can buy duds as well as anyone (us chief among them obviously).
They need a lot of luck for things to fall into place. They may get it if Spurs and Arsenal implode over the next couple of years. In the meantime I like seeing them lose and draw and lose and draw... :-)

Funnily enough I was going to mention yesterday that I thought Reina was looking a bit disillusioned again and might be off at the end of the season.
