The loyalty points system is really messed up, here's why...

I don't agree with the points system in some areas.

I don't like the fact that I've been to some European aways at Schalke, Copenhagen and Poznan and only got 20 loyalty points per game.

Yet you got 50 points for one of the FA Cup replays at COMS (either Notts County or Leicester) can't remember which one), where ticket cost was £15ish

Yet my 3 euro games altogether have cost me well over £1k, with travel, accommodation etc?

Surely my loyalty isn't rewarded here?

Your going on like you go for points, always been the same for europe aways, im sure city didnt make you spend a vast majority of that 1k on booze and birds etc, go to europe to enjoy the cities you havent visited before not for 20 loyalty points.

Except the scenario you just described doesn't happen.

The last time it did ST holders were ll given the extra points. So the loyalty system isn't really messed up.
unless

you don't have many points and would like everyone to start again so the Johnny come latelys can get tickets for the big matches

I don't get where this JCL tag has come from, its complete and utter rubbish. I don't get what that has to do with what i said either?

A new ST holder can rack up points pretty quickly initially; they won't get to the utd aways etc for a good few years, but if they keep going to as many matches as there's points allow, they'll climb up the ladder.

Surely it is understandable that loyalty is given for both? If you but tickets for Europe (which those on lesser points cannot obtain and can't obtain the extra points) and buy tickets for the FA Cup Replays then you are still 20 points better off, that the lower number Card Holder can never catch up on you. Thus, giving you more points and also, making you more loyal; in a points point of view anyway.

If you don't buy the easily obtainable home FA Cup Replay ticket then that's not called Loyalty, that's called being Choosy.

Every European Game away this season went to open sale sorta blows this one out of the water.

seems that the people who moan about the loyalty points system usually have hardly any points..... go more games and youl have more points :)

surely you must realise the 'loyalty' is a reward for putting money in city's coffers and not to the away team?

Loyalty is rewarded for going to shit games not for being affluent and being able to splash out hundreds for every away day.

Generally its a game of simple economics. City will not fail to sell their away allocation so therefore don't have to subsidise the deal with loyalty points. However in order to sell out at home against lesser sides (and sometimes at ridiculous kick off times) additional points need to be offered.

I've been away for a week - is this a thread that is showing the system to be flawed or just another fan who hasn't got enough points? Or is that the same thing?
