The luckiest City fans in our history

Next spring will see the 130th anniversary of our founding as Manchester City. I thought the sides of the late sixties and seventies was the best time I'd have as a Blue but the last few years have blown that away.

Seven PL titles, three FA Cups, six league cups, a domestic quadruple, a PL/FA Cup/CL treble, 100 points and all the other records and achievements. Then there are the individual moments - the Aguero moment, the Vinny goal against the rags that set up that first PL win, his screamer against Leicester, Gundo & Rodri bringing us another title with their goals against Villa, Gundo's fastest ever FA Cup final goal and Rodri in Istanbul.

And then there are the players. Sergio, Vinny, Dave, Kev, Yaya, Zab, Fern, Gundogan, Raz (at his best), Edin, Erling and so many others. And of course the owners. We have been so blessed.
Can’t believed you left the last 14 PL games of 2018/19 off there. That was a totally absorbing and intoxicating run of games, given the zero margin for error involved. It’s all too often overlooked imo. To win those games, at the business end of the season, with an incredible Liverpool team winning with almost the same consistency (they only lost one game all season, to us) has to be, in my eyes, the greatest team sporting achievement ever, and it should never take second place to (for example) getting 100 points, especially on here.

Agree with the sentiments more generally though! Was thinking only yesterday that it’s been like some sort of incredible dream, especially given the back-story.

I hope it doesn’t spoil us or make us entitled. Self-deprecating humour has always been prominent amongst blues and we must not lose that. Yesterday on here somebody told me off for joking that Jack’s thigh injury was caused by him dropping a bottle on it!
Btw, we can do nothing about tourists etc, nor should we— they can spend their money how they wish and the club benefits.
As you say, we are very lucky to witness all this, not the least of which is the discomfiture of the rags! Karma slaps the old toilet.

Not sure what has brought this on today but I'm right with you; although I (almost) always thought success could return but what we have now has surpassed my hopes and dreams.

As football supporters, we are so lucky but, in the case of our core support, not undeserving. The loyalty of our support is getting its just rewards.

We should all enjoy it as long as we can and remember not to be like the Reds.

I know I'm on my own here, but my favourite season is still the season Keegan brought us up with Benarbia in the team. That was the first time in my memory that I was genuinely excited by our football.

The trophies now are great, winning the Treble is something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime and so much more as the Rags are planning celebrations next year for the 25th anniversary of their Treble (oh my, I bet they've had to redo a shit load of merchandise because of that). But that season with Keegan still resonates with me and I still wonder at some of the stuff Benarbia done.
Not on your own, in terms of entertainment value and reaction to the previous decade of despair, that Keegan season is hard to top
