The Mad Hatter (New York)

I've never been to NY but love watching the match in foreign "city" pubs. The beautiful Mrs This! and I watched a city/stoke cup tie in Oslo a couple of years ago about this time of year - just bizarre!

There's a city plaque on the wall, the usual smattering of drunken scots lads and a load of Oslo blues...

I'm in Oslo next month when we play Spurs.
Any chance you can remember the name of the place you went?
Cheers.

as CTID1988 - this was the place. Corner of Kristen IVs Gate and Arbbeidergata. We went in for the city/stoke early KO and ended up in there all day watching a load of matches nattering to all sorts!

Off to New York in March, has anybody ever visited the Mad Hatter bar over there? I know its the official city pub in new york but Is it worth visiting for a city game or are there better sports bars?
When im there i think we play villa at 3pm here, does it open early for 3pm games as it will be 10am there?
Cheers

Hidden little burger bar in a posh hotel, i think i saw it on one of Heston Bluemthal's shows, supposed to be spot on for a decent burger.
The secret burger bar is indeed a gem. It is unsigned and unmarked, behind a curtain just beyond the reception desk.

Going over in April which will be the weekend of the Southampton game. So even if its an early kick off they will be open?
I was there for the Newcastle game a couple years ago when Pardew abused Pellers. A morning kick off featuring Guinness and full English breakfast. Plenty of expat City fans, some having travelled a fair distance. Gary Owen was also there enjoying a drop of the black stuff.
