please look up the stats before you have a go.

he won the italian cup with florentina in 2001
he moved to lazio in 2002 and won the italian cup in 2004
in 2004 he moved to inter and won 2 italian cups, 2 italian super cups, 3 league titles.

also hughes is the past now, you cant bring him back! all your post will do is diminish Mancini's confidence (that is if he's on bluemoon, which he probably will be after a chat with GC ;) )

good luck Roberto! you have my backing mate!

Thats back up that he's not a particularly experienced manager at the top level... 1 club, Inter who won the title by default thanks to match fixing.

What proven credentials does he have to manage a team like ours not yet at the top? He may well succeed and i hope he does, but he's not yet got the proven track record, just like Hughes never.

R U on drugs ( if not u should be ).

Just had to register after I read all the bullshit in this thread.

Mourinho has in no way done a better job in Inter than Mancini did. He has failed to make Inter his team, he still uses the system Mancini built and he hasnt improved Inter's performances in Europe. The Inter you see under Mourinho is Mancini's Inter. I dont know what that says, that Mancini did a hell of a job that not even the god coach Mourinho(isnt that what he's called in England?) can improve on or that Mourinho is a vastly overrated coach.

Mancini came to Inter when the club was a complete disaster. He turned it around and made Inter a football club again. Calciopoli did obviously speed everything up but his work started before that happened. Mourinho is just riding Mancini's Inter without improving anything really.

Mancini has no interest in being the biggest star in the club like Mourinho does.

... hughes managed wales and blackburn!
also florentina and lazio are pretty big clubs

anyway im just judgeing him on his previous managerial jobs. we cant actually judge him till we've seen him deal with the "typical city" enigma

Go on... explain, where are his top level credentials bar Inter, who already had the best team in the league and won the titles with the help of other teams match fixing?

where were they when he took over... now im tired

This simply isn't true.

Inter were average. Yes some other clubs were bent fuckers and he took advantage and won.. three years running.

whereas here....we are average...some other clubs (rags and Dippers) are actually bollocks so maybe he can take advantage here too.

1st Serie A won because of the match-fixing scandal
2nd Serie a title helped by AC Milan points deduction and Juve's relegation
3rd Serie A title won as fair and square as it could be.

4 Coppa Italias won on their own merits with 3 different clubs. Tell me how this record isn't FAR better than Hughes's club record.

Yep, you're first bit repeats what i already said about Hughes... Did Mancini take Fiorentina or Lazio from upper mid table to Champions? Not that i can recall, which is what his duty is with us.

Mourinho took Porto to CL victory, won the League with Porto/Chelsea/Inter
Hiddink took teams to the WC which werent even competing in qualifying before hand, he also looked good at Chelsea.

They've both got consistently proven credentials. So again, i'll ask the same question.
