*Trafford, not SalfordAs a resident of Bournemouth, I don’t tend to follow the MEN, but after the last couple of weeks I was somewhat shocked how anti-City the local rag is these days. They seem to be so biased towards the Salford team. Do they really seem to want to alienate a huge proportion of their potential readers? Mods might wish to transfer this to the media thread, but I think this deserves a discussion of it’s own.
That's because it is driven by clicks rather than honest unbiased opinion. The last time we had fair reporting from our local newspaper was back in the days of Stuart Brennan. He may have been a ManUre supporter but at least he kept it out of his journalism. Unfortunately since he left it's turned into just another click-bait gutter press rag.
The funny thing is, many of my rag mates (yes I know it's bad I have rag mates ;-) claim the MEN hates them and loves city.

Is there ever a positive article about City in the muen ?
In all honesty, it hasn’t been the Manchester Evening News for a long time and most of my family had stopped buying it a long while ago because there’s hardly anything about Manchester in it anyway. As a resident of Bournemouth, I don’t tend to follow the MEN, but after the last couple of weeks I was somewhat shocked how anti-City the local rag is these days.
