The Manchester Evening News

you say that,
but the fact that they employed him,
a self-confessed rag supporter,
to write articles about city says it all.
Why should it matter? A professional journalist should be able to do a job regardless of who they support. And what limited output I have read from Brennan, he could do that.

we'll have to agree to disagree on that.

city articles, in my opinion, should be written by people who have a passion for city, not a passion for that lot.

As a kid my dad had it delivered every night and it was THE font of all city knowledge.
I struggled early on with reading so would ask my dad to read EVERYTHING city related. My primary school suggested he make me read it myself to help with my poor reading and that was it, i was up n away because there was no way i was missing out.
even the general news was spot on and the manchester evening news was a big deal.

Couldnt tell you last time i even picked one up.
Just an advertising rag now.

Could say the same about Burnham
Manchester Mayor rights to the Government about Everton ( he has a season ticket)
However he is paid to be Manchester Mayor and City have poured millions into the local economy- not a peep in our support
MEN and Burnham are both disgraceful in my opinion

Absolute bullshit.

That would produce a fanzine mentality.

They did have a lad called Alex Brotherton who shocked me with an interesting and well written article about City fairly recently, but he seems to have moved on, probably realised he's wasting his time.
