If Paddy can par the last hole for the final round tomorrow he will be in the mix. 3 time major champion a lot who are leading will bottle it tomorrow and it wouldnt shock me if someone from the pack wins it outright with good round with the rest falling apart. Harrington and Mahan group have been great both have played some lovely golf today. Get in there Paddy - 4 for the round he is in the mix for tomorrow. I got him @ 90/1 come in the top 6 places and I will be happy.

if he can get back to the mentality he had when winning majors then yeah, he's got a chance. My only worry would be I think he's still a bit fragile and will have memories of being in contention after his major wins only to plough in the water in close battles, and there's plenty of water around Augusta.

If he finishes top 10 to top 15 that's huge progress for him, he's almost out of the top 100 so he really needed a good week.

Joe nothing wrong with his mentality at all. He has always beleived in his ability. The rankings he takes with a pinch of salt. Hes a part time player for the last 2 to 3 years or more. No wonder his rankings has dropped. He gets his game to the peak for the majors as always and if hes in contention in the final round he will go for the more risky shot than not. Sometimes they go into the water others they get on the green.
If Harrington was to play more regular he would get back into the top 40 golfers out there. He has a young family and he wants to be around them as they grow up so you can see why his rankings has fell by not playing regular enough. Also since he split with Bob Torrence his new coach set up has seen him come back to some form. I dont think he has missed a cut this year compare that to last year and you can see he is getting better the swing seems right he has the game to win another major.

I'll leave it there now jmw, obviously you and others on this thread have an hatred for woods, why is beyond me,you will never ever have anything of his ilk again to watch and admire.

Anyway like I said earlier in the thread it will be an American winner.

you obviously don't read.

I respect him greatly as a golfer, I think he's a **** of a person.

I don't think that's too difficult to grasp nor do I think too many people, unless you're that kind of guy, would feel too differently to that.
Is he a **** because he shagged about on his wife?

yes, because he "shagged about on his wife", I guess we're very different people.

-- Sat Apr 07, 2012 10:18 pm --

haha, Sergio hugging Rory was fucking class.

now it's Westwood's turn to capitulate, bad day for the Brits, really good run by Ben Crane, 4 birdies in a row including 2 in Amen Corner.
All about pressure now,all pointing towards phil to hold is nerve tomorrow.

Backed 4 Americans and left him out.

lol, yeah it's strange seeing some of the best players in the world play so badly yet the likes of Oosty and Peter Hanson are playing superbly.

Phil's just magnificent and I hope he wins from here, Stenson keeps letting himself down, he's clearly not quite there yet.

maybe it's just the pace of the greens that's catching the Europeans out now, when it was softer and slower earlier in the week it was really suiting them, now it's like a typical PGA Tour event, still doesn't explain Rory though, really bad.
