DJ has been in the lead before at majors but he’s never been in the position he’s in now. He’s in complete physical and mental control, the kind you very rarely see. He’s got a coldness and ruthlessness to what he’s doing too, his post round interview was clinical. To top it off all the chasing pack have made errors that suggest they are the ones most likely to fall away rather than challenge. Only Eory could really put DJ under pressure from here but he’s too far back.Did he hit a single bad shot other than his approach on 18? Great round. But he’s been in positions like this before and Augusta’s back nine has a way of changing the narrative very, very quickly. I’d like Rahm to come back as I own him in my pool but his putting fell apart and that 8th hole was worthy of me. Wouldn’t mind seeing DJ win but hoping for a good tournament tomorrow.
