The Masters Golf

Feels as if he is going to attack everything and either win or go down in flames. Fortune may favour the brave.
Don't get me wrong, I love it when Rory attacks a course, but playing it cool would force dechambeaus hand, and possibly cause him to make mistakes. He needs to be smart. Having said that he's just nailed driver on 8 so what do I know lol.

Hope Rory loses. Do you think an Irish guy would won't an Englishman to win.

Yes, I do. He's a proud Ulsterman. I'm sure you don't need telling of the complexities of the politics in Northern Ireland. Choosing between representing the UK or Ireland was something he didn't want to have to do and initially wasn't going to compete in the Olympics because of who it may upset. Like boxing the golf is governed in the North and Republic under the same body. Not wanting to miss out on the games for something that he isn't responsible for he felt he owed it more to those that contributed to his development and consequently chose Ireland. I don't begrudge him that.

It's his choice and we should respect that. I've always thought he was a decent fella, regardless of his politics or football preference. I enjoy watching him play golf, simple as that really

The crowd have gotten less partisan the longer he has stayed ahead. The Augusta crowd is knowledgeable and appreciate that they’re on the verge of watching something historic, but that might make it hard for him to play conservatively riding that wave of emotion.

Good observation and a great point that. Adrenaline must come into play. He probably just goes into A game mode.
I can only just barely imagine the pressure.

Bryson will start chasing him soon and the hooks will come back again when he tries to force it. Rory just needs to keep hitting GIR and getting opportunities

You can be proud of being both, it doesn't have to be mutually exclusive. Some identify as neither and class themselves purely as Northern Irish which is what I think he'd like to do. I regard him as British and have no issue with the Irish claiming that he is theirs either. He's a wonderful golfer and I think we'd all rather see him win than an American.
