Agreed, but he was obviously emotionally overwhelmed by the victory.
I can forgive him for that.

Glad it wasn't just me that picked up on this. Looked terrible. Hopefully he was a bit more sportsmanlike off camera, because he really came across as being a ****.

As a golf fan, I couldn't give a fuck who he supports, as it makes no difference to me.
It's not like he's playing in a united top.
He's a great golfer and is good to watch, and like it or not, he's now in the grand slam club, a rare thing.
I can respect that regardless.

I think he’ll be more disappointed with his game late on Saturday than the playoff. In the end he got beat by a brilliant second shot from McIlroy and you can’t control that.
 
Eyes were shot by half 10 so went to bed. Watching a re run of it now. Please, nobody tell me who won…

It might be my shit memory, but bad round 3’s in majors feels like it’s been an issue for Justin over the years? Shane, cos he is a smashing bloke, and as always very gracious in defeat (in the interviews I heard didn’t hear McIllroy mention him at all)

I'm with you. Similar when people talk about bands/artists etc, deliberately choosing to like/dislike someone purely because of which football team they support. You can still hate United but have huge admiration and respect for one of their "fans" who's just achieved something remarkable in sport and by all accounts seems to be a fairly humble guy.

That emotion when he made the putt was completely genuine, fair play to him. Honestly thought when it went to a playoff that Rose would be favourite to go on because McIlroy's head must have been a mess. To come back from that and play the hole the way he did - wow.
