The MEN Pink

Yeah, used to be buzzing when that came out.

That first game of the season at Tottenham would have been Gascoigne and Lineker’s first game after the Italy World Cup and they got a generous welcome off both sets of fans. Both scored as well obviously.
I was in the spurs end for that, undercover, standing behind the goal. We lost. Might have been 3-1.

Sorry to go a little off topic here but can anyone go into Central Library to research in the archives or only Manchester rate payers? I used to go when I lived in Burnage but now I’m in Eccles I’m not sure If I’m allowed. :-) Thanks
OK it's been 12 years since I last went so it may have changed lol
As far as I know anyone can walk on and use the facilities but you have to be a resident to take a book out
I used to work near to the Palace theatre and a woman from Accrington was the admin person and she was able to join because she worked in Manchester! As I said that was years ago!

Thank you @Mad Eyed Screamer i had heard that they have great facilities now for researching Family History and as I’ve been doing quite a bit of online research and appear to have hit a wall I thought, if it is possible, I’d try Central Library. So I won’t want to take any books out just look at their resources. When I lived in Manchester and was doing research for my University dissertations both they and Eccles Library were great. (I borrowed my Mum’s card for Eccles at the time). Eccles has tons of information on the Bridgewater Canal etc. Manchester on railways and art. Sorry TMI! Boring. :-) Thanks again MES.
