Maybe I am being a little sensitive.... but over the past few days I have noticed the local newspaper constantly referring to City as Man City, yet the rags get the full ''Manchester'' United.

Every single one is Man City & Manchester United, even on the same line! Why?

Completely agree with you Phill, I always felt that anyone calling us Man City was intending to slight us, our name is Manchester City or City for short, not Man City. However because City felt it appropriate to adopt the Man City epithet we can't expect others not to use it too. Sad I know but reality.
For what it's worth the MEN has certainly fought our corner, Stuart Brennan & Co have been very much pro City.
