The two stories are written by two different journalist. The Aguero one I'm not sure about but the Balotelli story was written by a good mate of mine, Simon Mullock who is a big blue and has told me it is definitely true( Ive known him most of my life and I believe him). If you read Simons articles on City you will see he is very pro City and even got into trouble for his report on the last game of last season for his " over the top" digs at United and bias reporting on us. He turned down the chance to get paid for reporting on the FA Cup Final in 2011 so he could sit with us at Wembley to watch the game and cheer us on instead of sitting in the press box where they have to appear to be neutral and aren't allowed to cheer for obvious reasons. Believe me he wouldn't have wrote the story on Balotelli if it wasn't true!

Yeah, Mullock managed to blag 11 tickets from City for him and his family for the cup final from the club, left a nasty taste that one!

As you say, he is a big blue and the story will have been briefed for a good reason.

The Aguero story was written by that red **** Steve Bates, son in law of David Meek, bosom buddy and lapdog of slur Alex.

He got into trouble this year for writing a story Garry Cook was being investigated for misuse of expenses and club cars.

He'll be getting another call this week I suspect.

It's ironic that in a thread used to discuss 'the truth', one of your posters should tell a lie about me "blagging" 11 FA Cup Final tickets from the club for my family. I didn't realise I had that kind of influence at the Etihad. If so, maybe I'll ask for a game next.
Nine members of my family are season-ticket holders - including my two kids - and so had their own access to tickets for Wembley and didn't need my help. I myself didn't need a ticket either, because I was working that day and so I sat in the press box.
Perhaps Mr Tolmie would like to say who was left with "a nasty taste". I am told he is supposed to have his finger on the pulse at City. If what he has claimed about me and Wembley tickets is anything to go by, I'm not sure he does.
Thanks to Tommo aka OABAAB for alerting me to this so I could hopefully set the record straight.

Just because they have season cards doesn't mean they were entitled to tickets for Wembley.

I know loads of season card holders who couldn't get tickets. Me thinks you protest too loud.

The whole gist of OABAAB's original post was to say how big a blue you where and you refused to the job of working on FA cup final day so you could enjoy it as a fan. Now you are saying this isn't true and you were in fact working that day ?

It's better than Coronation st on here some days.

Welcome to bluemoon btw.

I'm afraid OABAAB got that wrong. Two mutal friends of ours were sat right in front of my seat in the press box, so maybe he got his wires crossed. I was tempted to duck out - and to try to "blag" a ticket off City!! - but the chance of getting my name in the paper on the day the 35-year curse was lifted was just too good to turn down.

Fair enough, thanks for clearing that up Simon.

You're not the first journalist who has had to come on here and defend himself. Stuart Brennan regularly fights his corner and some days probably ends up writing more on here than he does for the MEN.

Might be worth pointing out Simon, that Tolmie defended you in this thread as he has done previously on the forum when you've written City related stories which have had the agenda merchants up in arms. Seems a bit odd that you feel the need to defend yourself over something as innocuous as free tickets.

Anyway, whilst your here, where did you get the 140k a week figure for Mario's wages from ?
