The most unfunny comedian ever

I’m not a big fan of comedy. In terms of lol stuff, I can only think of Phoenix Nights and Max & Paddy in recent years when I’ve been in tears from laughing - so many funny moments in those, but even with Kay I don’t really like his stand up.

Horses for courses I suppose. Loved Phoenix Nights, didn't like Max and Paddy. Quite like Kay's stand up.

I must have very bad taste in comedians judging by this thread, I pissed myself watching Ricky Gervais, Peter Kay, Frankie Boyle, Michael Mckintyre and a few others I’ve seen getting a good slating, I’m not arsed though if it makes me laugh it makes me laugh, can’t help it
Kevin Bridges if my favourite at the moment
I get the feeling this is one of those threads that just serve as a means for people to vent. You'd think there isn't a good comedian on the planet looking through it.

Bridges is quality. I did think Gervais's recent stuff could have been a bit better, but the bar is generally high so it's cool.

I think a general issue is that most people base their views off of what they see on TV. And there a so few mainstream channels that push comedians so all the ones we're stuck with are boring family friendly sell outs (looking at you Rob Beckett/Roisin Conaty). There's very little exposure for the more outside of the box variety, at least on TV. Apparently TV companies use the same agency too, so there isn't room for variety.

Ninia Benjamin is a fantastic comedienne who they won't let on TV because she's a bit raunchy. That Mickey P Kerr fella off BGT was only about half as impressive as his main material, as he has a lot more risque stuff usually. His best routine is about being high and losing a sock in the wash, that's not making it onto primetime TV. Unfortunately comedians can't be at their best AND on the TV, at least in the UK.

In fact the only comedian I've ever seen live who was as family friendly as they are on TV was Jason Manford, but that's his schtick really.

I mean both of them Exeter really. A lot of those supposedly hilarious men of the past, Cook and Moore, Dave Allen, Tommy Cooper, the Monty Python gang, and yes Milligan just don’t make me lol at all. I might watch them for 20 mins and laugh once.

Some comedy certainly doesn’t age well - Tony Hancock is my bete-noir on that score - but whilst Cook, Milligan and Monty Python could unquestionably be hit and miss, they could also be brilliant. I’ll leave this here just for you..... ;-)

Ricky Gervais.

Ricky fucking Gervais.
Got likes that are funnier than him... absolutely hate and I mean hate him. Cockwomble of the absolute highest order....twat!

Weirdly I have liked everything he has done bar the office.
I find his stand up brilliant and the golden globes stuff amazing.
Russell Brand for me.Even worse when he is paired up with Noel Fielding on that C4 quiz of the year.

James Corden is to comedy what Ander Herrera is to Spanish football...........

Or, that **** in Starwars prequels that was trying to shag Natalie Portman, is to acting.

I will forgive the Portman thing, but, talk about fucking abysmally wooden?

I have nothing more to add.
