The Newcastle crowd applauded our team. Anyone else?

I remember City fans applauding Arsenal off the pitch at half time after they tore us appart and went in winning 4 nil.
We also applauded Wolves players after they were officially relegated late last season.

The season following the applauding of Arsenal they came out lined up in the middle of the pitch and applauded the City fans for their gesture

I remember the Zola performance he was outstanding that day and he was touched when the whole ground gave him a standing ovation
 
In all the time I have been to City (26 years a season ticket holder) the performance by Thierry Henry and Arsenal that night was the best by a visting side by far. It was awesome to watch, even though we were on the receiving end.

Am I right in thinking Carlo Nash was in goal when we were 4 down after 20 minutes? Henry and Vieira were miles ahead of our midfield - it was like boys v men.

Was his debut... if memory serves.
 
If my memory serves me correctly, the night Arsenal beat us 0-4, Henry and Viera were on the bench. I think at least one of them came on in the 2nd half.
 
On my way out of the ground I couldn't believe how many of their fans were applauding us. Even walking to the pub people were patting me on the back saying well done and good luck.

It was a great weekend.

Very true, even before the game I was speaking to Toon fans that wanted us to win, & beat the scum to the title, they felt that it would be a season too early for them to qualify for the Cl and still cant forget or forgive baconface for his antics the season they beat the toon to the title.
After the game, nearly every newcastle fan i spoke to wished us well and hoped we won the league, many saying we deserved it for our support in the barren times and we were like them true supporters not glory hunting filth like you know who (I didnt feel it was the right time to ask if they were there before KK)

yes i do, He was unbelievable that day they battered us 3 nil i think !!
he deservedly got a standing ovation from us
And can anyone remember what happened at the next home game??
