Yes, always injured, he's a mard arse and the £50-£60m we would spend to get him would go a long way to helping Liverpool.

If he wasn't on the treatment table every month i would love him here as he's an unbeileivable player but he will only score as many goals as a player who will cost half as much as he will do and play alot more.

I hear what you're saying and it make sense on some levels. I think his injury proneness is a bit of a myth. He's had two injury blighted seasons, but previous to that he had consistently played well over 30 games per season since he broke into the AM first team. Plus there was always a pressure at Liverpool to rush him back from injury because they relied on him so heavily.

Regarding giving liverpool money to spend - that's a philosophical argument which cuts both ways. Yes we would be giving Liverpool money to spend, but long term whether it's us or Chelsea, or Barca - somebody will sign him, and I'd rather if someone did, it was us.

It's also worth noting that signing a player like Torres would almost certainly cement our place at the top table of world football, and would also encourage other top class players who play in different positions to join us.

Having said all that, I'm sceptical as fuck that it's possible to bring "the ladyboy with the dodgy knees" as my rag brother calls him, to COMS....

You mis-spelt 'negotiating terms with Torres and Villa' :-)

I'd rather have them as Prime Minister than a Brown/Clegg alliance, that's for sure.

'Nando' was out last night when I called around with the A380 (one of the conditions of sale)

Surely you don't want that elitist, posh neo fascist git, do you?

Not doubting Tolmie's integrity one bit, but Ibrahimovic (with Robinho going to Barca) seems like the much likelier transfer to me.

Great!
If you should ever decide to only post info in PMs please add me to your list. :)

Same here please Tolmie and thanks as always for the info

Seriously, chaps. Just lost the train of thought for few minutes, that's all.

Reading back, it came across from me as a bit diva/taking my ball home, type of thing.

Just not as enthused as Didsbury Dave, for protracted hell fire.

It simply goes on the board because we're all blues.

As Mancio would say, "Only This"

Ibrahminovic, mmmmmmm to much like Berba'flop if you ask me.
Torres would be ace but me thinks he's off to spain after his the premiership is physically destroying him bit.
Think a creative midfielder ie; (forgive the spelling if wrong) Shnider form inter would be my choice, or even Deco.

yeah i think schnieder is a deffo sneaky bid....or even van der vaart.

would love to see someone like gourcuff here though

I've not read the thread, only tolmie's post. I know you are reliable with this type of thing but i just cannot see him coming with only Europa League football on offer. By all means prove me wrong Fernando. Sorry if other information has been posted that ties in closer to proving a potential switch and not a snub.

That's a bit strong to describe Clegg.

I know he went to £30,000 a year Westminster School, but cut the guy some slack.
