Very interesting. All of the top clubs will be playing each other. Chelsea play Spurs away soon. Liverpool play Spurs, Arsenal v Scum, Arsenal v Villa. Chelsea v scum. Although no game is easy there is no reason why we cant get at least 7 or maybe 9 points from the next batch of games. If were in contention by the end of the year there is no reason why we cant go for the title. We are only going to get stronger with the whole squad now starting to gel and with an addition such as Dzeko in the new year, the league is there to be won. It sounds like I am getting carried away but we are seriously a match for any team and probably have the best squad. We have an outstanding away record and just need to work out how to break teams down at home and we are laughing. I had a feeling we were due to give someone a hammering and a feel some team is going to get another one at COMS very soon. Happy times!!

I started a thread after looking at the same stuff.

I predict that City will be top of the league at the turn of the year.....and from there, who knows?

No matter who we are playing at home i think we should get behind the team like it is derby day and make them know we have faith and they should have to,

Just like the fans who have made us all proud at away games we should ramp it up.

Even if we don't get behind them as much as a derby day....an atmosphere as good as the Villa and Spurs game at the end of last season would be good! I was sat in the North Stand for the Villa game and completely lost my voice and was really loud around me :) I keep thinking of AJ's goal against Newcastle that put us 2nd in the league, the crowd went mental...we need more of that!!

yeah was just using the derby day as an example, if we believe in the team then they can just crack on and get the goals must be the worst feeling in the world thinking the fans are against you as well.

One game at a time ......

for a start Stoke won 3-0 today away from home , will be full of confidence , and they'll kick us all over the pitch if we don't set out with the same attitude that we showed today ........

it has to be 100% committment from ALL our players .... nothing else will do!

we should be aiming for the equivalent of 80 points after 19 games(half a season), so we should be looking at 40 points by the halfway mark.

We've got 25 from 14, so we need to win all of our next 5 games 2bh.

We may be 3 points behind now, but in 4 months on our points collecting rate(68 points) we're gonna be 12 points short of that, and I think the champions will have 82/83 by the end of the season.

80 will definately get us 2nd/3rd, and I think we need to aim to be as close to that as possible.

I feel like this team is having some trouble getting over the hump. If they get to the top they'll be hard to beat, the problem will be getting there. It's like last year against Spurs when it was there for the taking and they couldn't get it done.

BTW, I absolutely believe they'll get there. I'm just saying that the first time will be the toughest. After they win something the confidence will take over the club and all debts will be settled with every other club full of assholes in Europe. I sincerely think they'll be rubbing the scum's nose in it within 18 months.
