The Nigel De Jong Appreciation thread

He's got a year left on his contract, If the £3.5 mill correct then surely City are trying to push him out? Strangest bit of business I can remember, If he was unhappy with the prospect of being more of a bit part player and wanted first team football week in week out(which he deserves) and I can understand, but surely we arn't in a position of having to grab a few quid if a player of his ability wants to run his contract down? 1 of my all time fave's will be sorely missed. I can only assume something big is about to happen tomorrow.

Good luck Nige good player for us helped us coming through our development. Milan as got a great player .

The deal isn't done until it's done. Personally I hope it falls through and NDJ stays. A player who always gave 100% and to whom every tackle mattered. Let's not forget who it was driving forward with calmness and purpose in those momentous last few seconds against QPR making the pass to Sergio. A fans player who spoke with intelligence and understanding about City - one of the immortals who played a big part in fulfilling our dreams and finding long lost success for us. If he does go - thanks Nigel. Once a Blue, always a Blue.

Saved me a lot of mither this post. I agree totally and hope there's a good reason that's beyond my football IQ. I thought he still fitted the team like a glove.
