Gunnar Nielsen released, he's on the list sent to the PL anyway so why wasn't he announced by the club?

Could you post the whole list or provide a link for it?

After seeing some of the names on that list I get the impression that Nielsen's contract may have run out but will be renewed along with Taylor's, hence the lack of announcement of either going.

Why would we renew it and why would he even want to stay hes play once in his whole time with us. Don't mind Taylor staying we can release him next year once Gunn starts to develop and becomes 3rd choice keeper.

We seem to love stockpiling goalkeepers, Nielsen should be gone now though I agree. A Hughes signing with 9 first team appearances in his career at the age of 25!

As for Gunn, someone told me that he's considered one of the best English goalkeeper prospects in years and is far more advanced than is normal for his age group. I wonder if a day will ever come when we could have two top class goalkeepers on the books - Hart and Gunn - what a dilemma that could give the club! We could always loan Gunn out till Hart is 35 (Gunn would be about 25 then) if Angus turns out to be a top keeper. :D

That would probably be the case, since I thought that the rags had re-signed Scholes for one more year, but is on the list?

Another signing. Only seven though.

Manchester City sign ‘Little Messi’

Published on Saturday 2 June 2012 02:45

MANCHESTER City’s latest signing is a highly talented youngster from Ferrybridge.

Seven-year-old Ferrybridge Roundhill School pupil Ellis Skelcher (pictured) has become a hot property with several Football League and Premiership scouts watching his progress in the Pontefract Collieries under sevens team this season.

Manchester City have stepped in to sign him and he will begin training at their academy in Leeds this summer.

Ellis’ dribbling and shooting skills have earned him the nickname of “Little Messi” from his team-mates and he impressed again at the Upton United Gala last weekend when he scored a hat-trick in one of the games while being watching by City’s scout for the West Yorkshire area.
