I had high hopes for Gai Assulin. Such a shame, obviously have all the talent in the world, but sometimes it's not enough. Maybe a change of scenery will reignite his career. Good luck to them all.

I'm surprised Gai Assulin was released..I thought he was one of the more promising players, unfortunately blighted by injuries..was he that bad?

Wishing those released the best of luck and hope they find a club soon..

great dribbler, too injury prone and often lacked an end product, best I saw him was the cameo he had in the 4-2 win at United when he came on late on.

Surprised there wasn't more to be honest, there's 7 or 8 in the EDS that aren't good enough that should be out the door, maybe we think we can get fees for them...

I'm guessing all those we released had their contracts ending? The others who might have been cut probably still under contract so we might try and get something for them. Players like Nimely, Cunningham, and McGivern are definitely worth something and will attract bidders.

Dissapointed how Assulin panned out, was quite excited when we got him in, maybe he would have got an opportunity had we not improved so dramatically since his arrival.

I reckon the City staff realised soon after signing him that he might not make it, but we had already given him a decent length contract.

Reading some of the Tweets by the kids released and also those not released, they seem gutted but very grateful to the club for raising them as footballers. Some of them released have been at the club since they were 8 years old.

Don't believe in any hype in future, lets the kids develop at their own pace and see if they are good enough or not.

Same with Suarez and Rekik. They've got potential, like Assulin had.

Andrea Mancini released thankfully, he was shocking and taking minutes from any of the proper talents at youth level.
