couple of tweets from academy players today:
brandon barker: "had an alright morning played 16's and 18's :)"
dominic mchale: "Lost 3-0, hate when i get played out of my position... can't get the ball:/"
not good to see for two reasons. firstly, player 1 has to represent 2 age groups in quick succession (this happened last week, with 3 out of 5 subs against liverpool coming straight from an u16 match. playing for different teams straight after each other can't be good can it? risking injury and disjointed performances.
secondly, player one says his morning was 'alright'. losing 3-1 then 3-0 (to bottom of the league bolton) is alright is it??
then there is player 2, who 'hates' playing out of position (presumably wide in a 4-3-3 rather than upfront in a 4-4-2, or vice versa - this is what happened against liverpool). He is an arrogant bastard imo, last week on LTV he was doing tricks when he should have just kept the ball, and was quite lazy. not a good attitude to have, he looks poor and hasn't got a good mentality. he won't make it.
