Does anybody know why Pozo was sent off against Derby in the youth cup by any chance?

Sounded like a rash challenge born from frustration

Thats what i thought at first but it was on the match report that it was an off the ball incident with a derby defender but even some of the derby players looked shocked he got a red

Watch from about 2:40 I think he must have said something to the lino, which isn't shown on the clip

Stamped on one of their players I believe.Probably retribution for that nasty challenge which we saw on IC but apparently the ref didn't even consider worthy of a foul.

Helan played the whole game today for Sheffs Weds. Seems to be getting quite a bit of time. May comeback next season a much better player.

We are raising our academy lads right ;)

Helan is the only one who played though, Rekik sat on the bench while Henshall and Wabara must have been injured (or maybe Wabara has just been dropped off the bench at Blackpool), and Nimley is injured as usual and only has 2 appearances so far at Palace. Only Helan, Rekik, and Elabdellaoui are having fruitful loan spells so far. Even Scapuzzi comes off the bench for a bloody Serie B side.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Academy-news/2013/March/Tosin-Adarabioyo-called-up-to-England-u16s-squad-for-Montaigu-Tournament" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Academy-news ... Tournament</a>

City u18s defender Tosin Adarabioyo has been called up to the England u16s squad for the Montaigu Tournament.

Kenny Swain’s Three Lions side will contest four games in six days at the French tournament later this month.

Tosin’s call-up is reward for his good form in the Barclays u18 Premier League where the 15-year old has been a regular in the centre of defence so far this calendar year.

England will be hoping for a repeat of their successful defence of the Victory Shield title in 2012 where Tosin made his debut against Scotland in November.

They kick-off the group stage with a clash with the Netherlands on Tuesday 26 March, then go on to take on Chile two days later before rounding off the group with a mouthwatering meeting with Germany on Saturday 30 March.

Then England will take on one of France, Portugal, Turkey or Japan on Monday 1 April, depending on where they finish in their group.

15yr old playing in the u18's,he looks a big(literally.....) talent.

Best wishes.

More optimistic news,3 players in the squad......
-----------------------------------

John Peacock has named his England U17s squad for the Euro Elite Qualifying Round on home soil this month.

The Young Lions host opposition from Portugal, Russia and Slovenia for a place in May’s Euro Championship Finals in Slovakia.

With only one team from the four heading to the Finals, it’s an important stage for England who include four under-age players in the squad.

Freddie Woodman, Joseph Gomez, Dan Crowley and Isaiah Brown are all eligible for next season’s U17 group, but Peacock has chose to call upon them for the Elite Round.

He said: “We are now getting to the crucial end of the season, which we have all been preparing for.

“The prize of reaching the UEFA U17 Finals is a significant one, with the top team here qualifying for this important event.”

Qualification for the Euro Finals will also provide an opportunity to seal a spot in the FIFA U17 World Cup, which is held in UAE later this year.

England kick-off their qualifiers against Portugal at Walsall’s Banks’s Stadium on Saturday 23 March before facing Russia two days later at Burton’s Pirelli Stadium.

The final game against Slovenia is in Burton on Thursday 28 March.

The Squad

Goalkeepers: Angus Gunn (Manchester City), Freddie Woodman (Newcastle United).

Defenders: Josh Aina (Chelsea), Joseph Gomez (Charlton Athletic), Connor Ogilvie (Tottenham Hotspur), Ashley Smith-Brown (Manchester City) Ben O'Hanlon (Wolverhampton Wanderers).

Midfielders: Bamidele Alli (MK Dons), Kean Bryan (Manchester City), Charlie Colkett (Chelsea), Bryn Morris (Middlesbrough), Ruben Loftus Cheek (Chelsea), Dan Crowley (Aston Villa),

Attackers: Isaiah Brown (West Bromwich Albion), Mason Bennett (Derby County), George Green (Everton), Alex Kiwomya (Chelsea), Jerome Sinclair (Liverpool).
