Drury looks impressive, unbelievable work rate.

The one thing you will always get from Drury is workrate. Loves to bomb down the wing and is encouraged to take players on with his good pace and he certainly knows how to cross a ball. His defensive work is getting better and will continue to do so as City keep on using him a s a full back.

Who are your tips for the future, nelly?

From what I recall Nelly and FantasyIreland are both confident that Denayer will make the grade. I would like to know their view of Devante Cole. He scored a hat trick in the last game and looks to be really coming on as a player.

I assume the question is really who will make it in the City first team and that's just such a tough and probably unfair ( on the players and me) question to pose. I think we have a lot of talented footballers who will or should make it as a professional footballer.

From tonight's team maybe none of them have the ultimate quality to make it with City apart from maybe Denayer. I like lots of them and I know Vieira recently singled out Facey for how he has developed and learned during his time as coach. Huws has shown some very good qualities as a holding midfield player but has he got enough.

The tests most of them need is a loan spell somewhere that will really challenge them.Missing from tonight of course were Lopes who has a great chance of course and Pozo who I guess in injured again or is he still away with Spain under 19's? I really like Pozo and would be surprised if he didn't make it big even though his time since the injury hasn't seen him at his best.

Of course the way City are going is bringing in serious quality at younger ages and we saw some of that in the under 16's team in Qatar recently. Maybe some of them will be the real deal.

Then there is the under 18's team currently sweeping all before them under Jason Wilcox. Some real quality there as well. No guarntees obviously but ones to watch for me would be Ash Smith Brown, Pablo Maffeo and Angelino the full backs,Barker maybe if he keeps his head together.Maybe Intima if he keeps improving and maybe a few more in that team who have started to show real quality in a well organised side.

Re: City EDS vs United U21s On TV Tonight

As much as I like the idea of the Academy supplying a steady stream of players to our team we have to be realistic. Yes many of these players will go on to have some sort of professional career in football, but from what I saw last night and of what we have seen of Lopez in his handful of appearances so far, I am sceptical that their careers will be at the level that a club of City's stature require.

Just doing the maths of the situation paints a realistic picture of the academy chances of ever producing 1st teamers!

Let's say, that City are now regarded in both stature and ability as one of the top 10 sides in World Club Football.

All those clubs have squads of 25 with an approximate age range from 20-30.

That means across those top 10 clubs there are only 250 squad players with approximately 20-25 graduating into the frame each year as 20-25 move on due to getting too old etc.

Even if City and the other 9 clubs were looking to buy or promote 18-20 year olds, rather than buy ready made 24 year old stars, it would mean that across every academy in world football, not just the academies at those 10 clubs, as there will be scouts monitoring every other source of players, only on average would 2 players progress to our squad from this level each year!

In reality, the chances of the 2 players we might want to source at aged 18 already being part of the club rather than anywhere else in world football will be microscopic.

What was interesting to see last night, was the possession, high press and pattern of play readily identifiable with City's 1st team, and perhaps that might give our own youngsters just that slight additional chance of being the ones you in years to come filter into our squad. However being realistic I would say 3-5 years at the very least with no guarantees.

yes, that is it.. AJ Bell Stadium. Capacity is 12000

I would say about 100/120 City and not sure about the rags but good numbers

both Neville and Moyes were there, I am sure they heard our songs
