Been trawling through Blackburn's records and Souness's career stats in the interests of balance - highly commendable.

Can't help what?

If I've said anything thats incorrect feel free to correct me.

But if you're not interested in participating in the debate I can thoroughly recommend you click on another thread.

damn sight more than any of our managers have achieved since 81

If we judge managers against what City have achieved since 81 it's going to be a pretty long list.

Blackburn did not reach the FA Cup semi final under Souness.

Correct, I was mistaken on that. Thought the Arsenal game when they were in the second division was a semi, just looked and it was the quarters.

You change the debate constantly - whilst still claiming to be impartial - you fail to miss any opportunity to place doubt on the Manager's abilities and now you're off checking his stats with Souness's at Blackburn- great and commendable research but why after two decent results and clear signs of improvement do you feel the need to do that? Of course it's debate and unlike you I don't request people click another thread.
Last week you told me that it was ok for a Hughes outer to say I told you so after a dissappointing result, but not for a Hughes inner (yes I hate these terms too) to be pleased after a good result.
You and I will always disagree on what impartiality actually means.

I've never said that it's not OK for a Hughes inner to be pleased after a good result. I'd be astounded if any blue wasn't ecstatic by the result. And I've never said that it was OK for a Hughes outer to say I told you so after a disappointing result, thats just a blatent lie.

As to why I feel the need to check the stats, it's because this is an internet message board and I am participating in the debate.

Theres impartiality and theres honesty, you seem to struggle with the concept of both.

Yes, A is worse than B in my opinion.

GaudinoMotors:-
My apology - you didn't say it's not ok to be pleased

Can you find any good stats on Hughes in your in-depth research?
