fair play because the way sven played us can u ever see us getting thorugh fair play under hughes and yes i know we are looking for champs league now but would of took fair play again last season
Our record aint to shabby this season actually this is only up to the 31st October but we are 7th on it so around the same level as under Sven http://www.premierleague.com/page/FairPlayTable

7th.........7th..............having spent all that money? it's a disgrace, get him out now!!!!! :)

i certainly won't be changing my stance on the back of one magnificent performance, i have rightly sang Hughes' praises as he was faultless with every facet of his management on Saturday.

follow this up with a run of CONTINUED form over the next half dozen games and i will consider moving to "the fence".

Sven didn't get us into Europe we got a "fair play place" and that was only because the teams that finished above us had already got into Europe.

We've got less yellow & red cards than any other team in the Prem this season so far.

For once in my life I would love to city see have some consistancy and see what happens.
If we won our game in hand (and Arsenal lost) we would be joint 3rd, in our first semi for decades and only lost 1 game all season.

We have beaten Arsenal twice, Chelsea, drawn with Liverpool and been robbed of a draw at the shite and have also beaten Barca at the Nou Camp.

If someone would have offered us this at the start of the season would we have taken it - Personally id have bit their hand off!

Its also worth remembering that MH got us to the qtr finals of the uefa cup last year too.

If we sack the manage we start all over again.

Seems the Hughes Poll is famous and we are being watched. Oh, the power......

Taken from article:
Prior to the game, the influential Manchester City fans’ website, bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk, ran a poll on Hughes, asking whether the City manager should stay or go. Hughes still divides opinion in the blue half of Manchester. The majority of City supporters recognise that progress is being made and admire his readiness to challenge the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger. Others cannot view him without images of his Manchester United past.

Seems like there are at least a dozen national journalists regularly viewing these pages for content.

Which is smart to be honest. They have free access to thousands of pairs of eyes and ears, many with closer access to the goings on at the club

if what hughes says about his teams always finishing the second half of the season stronger, then were right on target for the best season for many years.Hughes and his backroom staff keep it going.sit back and enjoy the ride.

The Arsenal and Chelsea results were two excellent ones, you could perhaps have predicted the Arsenal victory, they did field their kids so, on paper, we should have won, but the Chelsea win and performance were certainly unexpected given recent form.

Having said that it is just two good results and the good work against Chelsea will be scuppered if we don't beat Bolton next Saturday. Arsenal and Chelsea were as good as Hull and Burnley were bad. I'm not calling for Hughes to be sacked, I said he should be given until the end of December (prior to the Arsenal game) and see how he's doing then and I stand by that, he's certainly started that period well, but we've still got 5 more games this month, and we should be favourites to win all of them (Spurs away aside).

Lets see where we're at come New Years Day.

Wow that was close. I said if we beat Hull, Arse and Chelsea as I thought we should I would get off Hughes's back until the end of the season.

Having failed at the first fence I was not expecting two great results to follow. So well done to the Welsh wizard. However as the team's ability to raise its game for the big fixtures has not previously been in doubt I will hold back on annointing him manager in perpertuity.

As spotted the next month offers him the chance to show we can beat the so called weaker sides.
