so you would rather Twat a city fan then them to sing that, well thats just takes a very clever boy to say that, lets fight with your own supporters! well done, gold medal? no! im fed up with city fans fighting with each other, last season was an actual joke, away fans laughing at us fighting each other, this would have been said somewhere last year, if you dont like it dont sing it. I can understand why people do not want to sing it, it depends on which way you take it really. Fighting is not the answer! make your own songs up and start the atmosphier your self, because its the people who start the songs that get the song carried on, so you try!!! i hve NOT herd anyone starting another song at a game!!!! FACT!

Good girl , well said, maybe me and you could start a song together one day....?

"Adebayor, Adebayooooor, signed for Man City and is loved by us all"

Trigger, what's your view on this as a Steward, and how do you think the Club will approach this subject.

Re: FAO: Fans that went to pompey RE: Adebayor chant

Can you actually write the "lyrics" here?
I couldn't make out what was being said to be honest.

I posted this on another thread about the same subject

...and the song is not racist but just stereotypical! if it was racist, firstly I would have to a) report you to the nearest bobby b) then have you removed from the ground by the bobby as racism is an arrestable offence to which stewards and police will not even give you a warning for at COMS - you will be arrested and banned!

We have not had any notice at all regarding this song, and we do get warnings about racist comments and chants such as "yid army", personally I am not in favour of the words as this could and has upset people, but then again I dont believe the person who created meant it to cause offense.

Re: FAO: Fans that went to pompey RE: Adebayor chant

Ok, so everybody says that it is a minority of fans, THEN FUCKING OUTSING THEM, you cant mown about people singing songs you dont like if you are not prepared to outsing them. If you really dont like them that much start a different song and surly all the billions of fans that think these songs are out of order will join in.
If it is true that adabyor acknowledged the city fans for singing it then this topic is dead and we should not here about it anymore.

Re: FAO: Fans that went to pompey RE: Adebayor chant

I agree stop this bollocks, im so proud to be a city fan but Sunday regardless of the result I came away abit pissed off and to be honest ashamed. When Ade came over to defend/attack the corners everyone was singing this chant he may have laughed it off if the first time he heard it but every game, come on lads were better than this!

Re: FAO: Fans that went to pompey RE: Adebayor chant

"he's hung like an elephant and his wife's a bit sore" hardly racist, i'm white and i'm hung like an elephant !!!!!!!!!!

it's a play on words of the tottenham song which IS a bit dubious

keep singing it I say.. and as for people at the club not liking it.. so what, half of them aren't even City fans anyway

Re: FAO: Fans that went to pompey RE: Adebayor chant

I was at the match on Sunday and I had a few knuckle draggers around me that sang it. Most of whom were absolutely shit faced before the game even started. I lost count of how many times I helped haul the tosser back to his feet. Nevermind their group of knuckle draggers leaving to get more drinks every five minutes.
