Anything doesn't go. we have laws covering Racist/Homophobic chants. You seem to have an agenda here, desperatly wanting to turn this into a racial issue. "Hung like an Elephant" is not and never will be a racist comment! I suppose that the phrase "hung like a Donkey" could have been used, however the song is an attack on the racist one that a few clubs, fans sing and this is an attempt at mocking their racist version. What next will offend you? "The ref is as blind as a bat"
Also please take a little time to read my posts before making the wrong assumption that i enjoy singing about men's cocks, my views on this song are there for all to read, however if i did, what business is it of yours?
I obviously don`t object to the ridiculous comment on the refs eyesight as no doubt you will be aware there is no law covering such chants to bats.
"Hung like an elephant" may be construed to be racist if with no knowledge of the lengh of the penis involved or indeed the degree of discomfort to the individuals wife, it was related to a person of black personage given the stereotypical connotations over many years.
I agree with your views on freedom - but even this well meaning viewpoint is not always welcome if it should perpetuate social and cultural divides.
Thats my lecture over
Instead of cocks and plane crashes - why can`t we get back to disco pants ?
Now your talking!
Agree 100% that it is a shit song and that we should and could do a lot better, i will never agree though that it is in any way racist to infer that someone is hung like an Elephant.
I would also like to point out that it helps that when thinking of another human being, i think of them as that, regardless of colour of skin/nationality etc. The colour of their skin is immaterial! Adebayor is a Human being who happens to be good at Football and plays for City, who cares what colour his skin is and why do people want to mention it?
