The Official Run In Thread (merged)

Look. United went through a difficult spell of fixtures and they did very well.

Now it's our turn. We're the better team, so why can't we do the same.

And that can't be sorted out?

We also have a wild card: Carlos Tevez.

We've seen him penetrate through stubborn defences time and time again...on his own! He scores those scrappy goals, late winners, and goals against the run of play that none of our strikers are currently.

Didn't we win five out of our first six away games? I see no reason why we can't do something similar in our remaining five.

No matter what happens now lets enjoy it. We ain't fighting relegation not fighting for top 4 already in Champions League next season. Next season we will be much stronger and the players will know what to do if they don't win the league. The summer will be interesting because imo the Rags need to spend big where as we just need a couple of players see if the Glazers will spend.

You are completely correct, my friend.

As I have already said, this will be built up as Fergie's finest hour. In truth, we've let them getaway with it and the rest of the league has been insipid at best, and poor at worst.

Europe has shown up the league for the poor standard that it is. It shouldn't take a huge leap of quality to win it next season, regardless of the manager. Anyway, let's give the next 10 games a good bash first.

I was thinking about this earlier, does anyone else think that Rooney is carrying United a bit at the moment?

He's hit a purple patch big time and seems to keep scoring. Without him I reckon they'd be a fair few points behind.

No more than how Silva 'carried' City for much of the season tbh. You expect that from your best players. But the other guy that is vital and a genuine match winner for us is Antonio Valencia. It is crucial that he's fit now, he is lethal against the smaller sides. They actually just don't know how to deal with him. He has 12 assists and 3 goals in 14 league starts this season.

If they go into the last game in front we've had it O'Shea, Brown & Bridge will see to that.

For my money the City/Rag game is obviously important but so is the following wee when we play Newcastle (who hopefully will be ready for their hols) and they play Swansea (we battered them in the first game of the season, could have been 10 but for Vroom in nets, just look at how much they've improved). They wont lay down will attack. So hope is still there.
