The official "We don't want Wayne Rooney" thread.

Torres is a much better player than Rooney. He has basically carried a poor Pool side for a couple of years as we are now seeing.

There is however a huge question mark over his fitness. Van Persie if he wasn't so injury prone is better too.

Eto'o for a couple of years. Drogba ditto. Villa if it doesn't work out at Barca. Higuain young and hungry. Llorente at Bilbao looks useful. Dzeko young and different to what we already have.

OK they don't have the headline grabbing X factor. But on the pitch much better options.
what about Ronaldo?

FFS lads we dont want that shrek cnut at our beloved stronghold. Just when things are looking good why would we even think about bringing in a player off form, caught up in a three in the bed prostitute scandel and obviously a money fixated self centred f**k who drinks ,smokes and pisses in the street. It would sicken me to see him in a blue shirt!! Is football losing all its values???

I'm just glad we have so many self-appointed holier-than-thou fans who feel compelled to protect the club's name.

If you feel so strongly, it seems our attendances might be on the drop in January.

It is not lost upon me that whatever the subject matter, the same polarised opinions divide the same posters.

Look it is not holier than thou to dislike a player for his rather seedy behaviour. When you ally that to the fact that many people actually think he is overrated then it is a no brainer that we can do better.

I am watching the Inter game and it struck me that we would be far better off chasing true world stars such as Sjneider ad Eto'o. Players who have done it consistently at the highest level and also look after themeselves physically.

Wesley has said he would like to play in Manchester. If we give United 40 million Sjneider may well end up at OT. Do we really want that?

Personally I’m not arsed either way as whatever happens the evil empire is approaching meltdown anyway, but don't you think Berto has ruled out a January move for Rooney?

In his press conference today Mancini could have just played a straight bat and repeated the bland bollocks Mourinho and Ancelotti had already spouted: "Rooney is a great player but I think he'll stay at United," etc etc.

But instead Mancini went on: "In the summer if there is a player who can change things for us we'll talk about it … City are developing every month, every year. The people here have big ambitions."

Why bother saying that it if he didn’t mean it?

I'am not botherd either way but it's a done deal Rooney has had an offer he can't refuse .His own personal hareem with 72 vestal grannies and a solid gold toilet.

Oh dear....what are we turning into?

I'd rather be back in Division 3

You can stuck your divison three up your fucking arse.

It was fucking shit.

I'd rather play in the Champions League.

Dave, get off your f00kin horse will you?

We all want city to play in champions league but we don't need to sign that dirty RAG to achieve it. Have some faith in the players that we allready have. fooKS sake.

So folks, its been a rip roaring 48 hours or so with some heated debate.

Here's a question for you.

What does it say about City if we pass on the opportunity to buy Rooney? If there's a cast iron g'tee that he signs but City say no.

Is that good or bad?

FFS, he is NOT a rag. He merely PLAYED for the rags. Becoming one of them would not have been part of the contract. He is bringing up his son as an Everton fan. People need to grow the fuck up now before rational people start thinking we have learning difficulties.
