The owners wanted Robinho look how that turned out, people are allowed their own opinion just because the club/owners/manager wants a player doesn't mean that everyone should bow down and agree.

BTW the only reservation I have regarding Rooney is whether he will do it on the pitch!

Robinho was not a proven Premier League performer, you can level many things at Rooney's off the field behaviour, but he has desire and drive.

He's a born winner. We do not just sign a world class talent.

We are signing one with a grudge, and a determination to remind everyone of his abilties.

I seem to recall the same of Carlos Tevez.
