The only way to get around Platini's anti-City stance

We could just loan a youth player to Sheik Mansours UAE club for £100m loan fee.

Maybe our Mega rich owners can set up a world league to compete with the chumps league then..top club teams from south america, africa, aisia, australasia etc..and of course a couple of big clubs from europe that are not allowed to compete because of twatinis plans..us included of course.

This would blow the chumps league out of the water in terms of worldwide audiences..

can you imagine city v bocca juniors final etc...would certainly make a change from the usual suspects in the chumps final.

Pretty soon the chumps league wouldnt have prestige that it has now and then watch all the rats desert the sinking ship.

So Real Madrid got all those players from funds that come from shirt sales and hot dogs errrrr Dont think so.
So there is 1 of the worlds elite that wont go for this idea.

The guy just talks shit to get attention, it will never happen. Remember when he was going on about salery caps? what came of that?
Oh thats right you frog eater it goes against european law.
t**t

The premier league have already said they will fight this to the bitter end.

You think Real live within their means they are paying £1 million a week in wages to Trannie and Kaka and constantly need bailing out by the spanish kings bank. They have already said they dont agree with these proposals not surpisingly.

Valencia just got a £300 million bail out by the local council as they were near bankruptcy.

There is no point worrying about this, it wont work, despite what people might think its against EU laws (and yes UEFA are not a law to themselves they have to get these things rattified by EU)

Liverpool and Rags are up to their eye balls in debt so are Chelsea, Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Real Madrid etc.

They might try and make it so the rules dont effect these sides at the moment but only a handful of teams actually make money eveyone knows this is really an attempt to attack and damage the PL as it has become so powerful and popular in the game with its inward investment.

"An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us"

Thats why this wont work at the end of the day - from a british point of view anyway. There is a real chance one of the current top 4 could drop out of the places in the next 3 seasons when this happens they will squeal like pigs you can be sure.

But that is wrong - read the detail - the plans specifically intend to accommodate RM because they have the established revenue streams to pay the bank loans that buy the players - their revenue (and the scums) is 3 or 4 time higher than ours - we need to break into the CL to trigger an increase in revenue and do all the other things. Also the debt issue does not work in our favour - so long as a clubs revenue can pay the mortgage - this is specifically aimed at protecting Scum, Liverpool etc - so the Scums debt and Liverpool's debt do not cause a problem - they will therefore support it as it protects their CL revenues

And Pam (and I do have some idea of what I am talking about and have called a friend who is a specialist in European law) - it is not a simple restraint of trade at all:

An appointed organising body publishes its rules for entry into a competition and requires compliance - happens all the time - Olympics - F1 etc - nothing wrong with it. If you do not want to comply - then do not enter - if they say that qualification is the top 4 clubs from a national league that comply - then that is it.

Also the established top orger will not be against it and what interest will any court have in a club that has not taken part in the competition ever seeking to challenge the entry rules

The legal challenge will depend upon contravention of established European laws - just like the Bosman ruling did - this simply would not - you cannot take a situation to the European courts if the situation does not contravene European legislation

I am not trying to be alarmist - just we should take this very seriously - it is the start of an orchestrated attempt to stop it - thankfully we have some very clever people in charge

I think people need to chill. This will take years to come to fruition if at all. However our owner does not own Etihad therefore any sponsorship monies from that company would be classed as revenue. Hence if additional revenue was required no doubt the cost of sponsoring City would rise by an amount suffice to meet our revenue costs say £200m per annum

The other point to note is that another company could be formed to buy a corporate box. This company would not be owned by our owner but might be say a family member. This corporate box might be charged at a cost sufficient to meet our revenue costs say £200m per annum.

Both the above are quite legal, both the above increase turnover to a level that matches our revenue. There are so many other ways this could be done it is completely unworkable.

The plan as it has been explained is based around turnover so debts are irrelevant.

By 2012 this could act in City's favour.

well if we start now and hire the corporate box for 200 mill per season then by the time 2012 comes we will have 600 mill in the kitty.

Time to bring in video refs.It would only take a short time so come on and lets bring our game up to speed.Comments please.
