The only way to get around Platini's anti-City stance

As for the fans - this great idea actually encourages clubs to fleece them as much as they can.

Actually, Major League Baseball clubs in the US do that now. The Chicago Cubs for example, have the third highest ticket prices in the leagues behind the NY Yankees and Boston Red Sox, with nothing to show for it for over 100 years. And, the sad thing is, the idiots that support them keep paying higher prices to watch their team lose. I guess that doesn't say much for the intelligences of some US sports fans, does it?

Also....."Maybe our Mega rich owners can set up a world league to compete with the chumps league then..top club teams from south america, africa, aisia, australasia etc..and of course a couple of big clubs from europe that are not allowed to compete because of twatinis plans..us included of course.

This would blow the chumps league out of the water in terms of worldwide audiences..

can you imagine city v bocca juniors final etc...would certainly make a change from the usual suspects in the chumps final.

Pretty soon the chumps league wouldnt have prestige that it has now and then watch all the rats desert the sinking ship."

Now, this is an idea I really like! Except, doesn't the FIFA Club World Cup already do this?

i'm sure if platini wants to get involved in world economics wages, income, debt etc then our arabs can by slowley turning the fuel delivery pipe half an inch towards the closed position,i'm sure a quite word in his ear will do the trick

Surely the work around is to "sell" season tickets for the Diectors box at £100M per season.

Our chairman could then buy his own & a couple for friends/family and all of a sudden, we have £300M of extra football revenue.

What are the obsticles that face platini in his aim to get these rules implimented???

In other words, what's to stop him doing this????

I dont think twattini can put a cap on prices so yes very feasable.( sommat on those lines has already been mentioned as well as many other good ideas) :)

City have said that this transfer window is a one-off, but if this UEFA proposal is ratified and becomes effective by 2012, perhaps the answer is to spend big in advance of 2012.

The proposal effectiveylimits the spending of those outside the top 4, but those on the inside have an advantage so half the solution is to be in the Champions League, and in receipt of additional turnover by 2012.

The best way to torpedo the idea/controls will be to dump 2 of the existing top 4 out of the top 4. They then don’t qualify for the big money in the Champions league and their finances are so tight that they would suffer big time. They then don’t have the turnover to justify big transfers or wages. They would pretty quickly turn on Platini and his idea because they would be the turkeys voting for Christmas if they carried on supporting him. Lets hope a team like Spurs or villa can join us in the top 4.

Correct. It's no coincidence that, as Hughes said, the transfer budget has been 'accelerated' to do 4 windows' work in two.
