The Open

Just had a lump on Rory at evens. It would need the combination of a massive capitulation on his part coupled with the round of their lives from one of his closest challengers for him not to win it from here.

I wouldn’t underestimate Hovland. It’s a very good course for him as he rarely has to chip.

7 years since he last won one
Just think he is in a much better place than he has been for years. Too much pressure after winning 3 majors in a relatively short space of time. Much more mature now as well. We will all know one way or the other by late tomorrow.

Good luck with the bet, the way he's playing I can see you cleaning up. He's a confidence player, and he'll be buzzing off today.
One of the few rags I can tolerate.

I know you can get big changes in the lead on the last day but the fact that there are two players 4 shots ahead probably means that it’ll be one of the two.

McIlroy looks in superb form and I reckon he’ll win but Hovland also played well so it should be a good shootout between them.

Am I missing it or has anybody else noticed that they are not showing the iconic footage of golfers walking over the bridge at the 18th. They drive, then the cameras pick them up at the green. Even on the news, on Friday night, they only showed Tiger walking the 18th fairway. In the past when icons of the game were finishing their careers, or rounds even, they stood and waved on the bridge. Shame if some image company have bought the photo rights.
