The Pandora Papers

Well so far the only one mentioned in the news is the War Criminal Blair. The corrupt bastard bought a house via an off shore account to avoid tax.

£321,000 in stamp duty and despite the OP desperate for it to name Tories, no one is being named !!!!
Where did he break the law?
He bought a company registered abroad that owned a UK property.
It might not have good optics but it doesn't make him corrupt unless laws were broken.

That’s not really true though is it?

Plenty of governments around the world who might be classified as corrupt have laws drafted in such a way that their corrupt dealings falls outside criminal sanctions.

It doesn't really look like a shady deal though because the office building they bought was already owned by an overseas company, they didn't insist on the deal be structured in such a way, and it was brought into UK tax regime following the transfer.

There might have been other reasons why they might jave wanted to acquire the holding comapny as a going concern before dissolving it into their own company. Contracts for maintenance and security etc may have been kept, rather than void them and renegotiate new terms.

Cameron is gone, Brown is gone... It's been going on for years. No government is innocent in this. Every one of them has failed to address the issue of tax avoidance and creative accounting.

They've ALL been at it.

There is a lot more going on than creative accounting.

Government contracts are being handed out on the basis of who you know and support politically regardless of ability to fulfil those contracts.

To my knowledge no sitting Government has ever been taken to court like the current incumbents over their blatant corruption.

Make no mistake this is a watershed moment in the history of democracy in this country and frankly, given the lethargy shown by much of the electorate, things look bleak.

It's been brushed under the carpet under previous government's, Labor and Conservative.

Which bit’s not true?
Looks like you’re agreeing with me.
