The PGMOL Apologies Thread

Here is a thought. Why don't the five big leagues create a Euro PGMOL to oversee their matches. Referees couldn't take charge of matches in their home countries.

:)
Great idea with one catch......no one would want our officials!

Instead of, or maybe as well as, apologising maybe PIGMOL should have the game replayed?
That would definitely make them think twice about their corruption (alleged) and in this particular case, Trafford v Wolves, neither team has any other extra matches to play have they? ;-)

I think Referees bottle out of some decisions knowing they have VAR behind them who they can pass the buck to.
Everyone is rightly saying VAR got it wrong but the ref should have given it anyway.
So now its not Hoopers mistake it is VARs.

Not sure what the point is in removing the officials from next week's games, they weren't going to ref united twice in a row so they were never going to be making a similar "mistake"
If the 'mistake' wasn't made on Monday, the officials wouldn't ref at the swamp for a very long time.....

We can all see what's happening can't we... ref has a difficult decision, defers it to VAR. VAR team defer it back to the onfield ref whenever they can.

It's slopey shoulders, a common thing in the work place especially amongst decision makers.

Yet PGMOL can't see it. Amateurs, I really think so. They're more interested in optics than good reffing.

Apologies are worth nothing. The corruption in the game us there for all to see. Brighton three times were apologised to after biased refereeing disadvantaged them in three matches. It didn't get them the points back and that and other bent decisions (eg Rashford in the Swamp Derby) helped Uniturd qualify for the top 4.

Officiating is rotten and English football is as bad as anywhere. Too many people don't want to admit it.

Would it ever be independent ? Doesnt stop brown envelopes etc or favouring certain teams

Hard to eradicate that corruption but PiGMOL having the PL as their paymaster cannot under any circumstances build confidence in their partiality.

Especially as the rags and dippers hold such a strong influence on the PL .
