The photos thread

Anyone any idea what this is ?

Spotted in Manchester Philips Park last week.

seriously wtf.

Freshwater west, pembrokeshire, now an annual pilgrimage for me n mrs eyes. Covid permitting of course, some other underrated beaches too around there, but it depends what you want.
Some unbelievable landscapes along the Pembrokeshire coast, top walks, brilliant pubs, really good places to stay (camping or b&b’s along with some decent hotels).

I also noted the lovely photo of blue lagoon, been there loads. It also forms part of the Red Bull World Cliff Diving Championships, now that is a great couple of days as a spectator.

Anyway, must stop as I could talk forever about the beauty that is the west coast of Wales!

The Blue Lagoon is amazing. I’ve not seen them diving off, but I have jumped off the lower bit before now

Need the tide in, they put temporary platforms on the cliffs edge 90ft up also do the short dive off cliff.
I’ve jumped off the short dive ledge still over 60ft (18 meters) that’s high enough for me.

2:45 in the morning , out for a run, you see a demon in the tree so as you do you stop ,get your phone out and take two pictures, of the demon that is staring straight at you .

what you see in the picture on a cold dark winters morning is something up a leafy tree(a leafy tree in jan/early feb :)

We love it round there, often go twice a year, easy to get to and a nice mix of outdoor activities and peace and quiet(weather can be wet though). Have only ventured into the surf with a bodyboard and wetsuit on though, my ambition to learn to surf properly, like most things, has passed me by Im afraid.

Barafundle, Broadhaven south and newgale are other beaches worth noting, the lack of commercialism just makes them more appealing to us now.
Get to Marloes Sands. Our favourite beach there. Not a surf beach, but stunning and great rock formations. Lived in Pembs for 4 years. Great spot and great times.
