I’m sort of retired now. Certainly until after Christmas anyway. I’ll think about it then.
So I have a lot of time on my hands.

One of my favourite views of Dublin Bay is taking in the whole sweep from Howth Head around Bull island with the Wicklow/Dublin mountains in the distance, taken from the pond in St. Anne’s Park.
Because of the bend in the coast road you don’t even see Dublin port so much and you wouldn’t know that you are only about 4 miles from O’Connell street and the city centre.

Went up Souther Fell in the lakes a few weeks ago and felt like we were on a different planet, didn’t see a single person in 4 hours of walking. We then then did the Tolkien trail a few days later in the ribble valley. Two brilliant walks that could not have been any more contrasting. Would recommend both to any walkers.
