Not sure how easy it is to see, but if you zoom in, you should be able to see the aircraft that drilled the hole through the clouds…and even the runway he’s about to land on in the distance.

*It was the best the Intl Relief Pilot could do at short notice on his iPhone! ;-)

Nice. Clouds are one of my favourite things to photograph

You get some really interesting images from clouds affected by aircraft. I love the images you get from high level contrails casting shadows on low level stratus, or the mackerel skies you get as the high-level contrails spread out in the upper atmosphere, especially when the sun is low in the sky.
