I regularly walk through the ‘gardens’ on my way to work. I think it’s getting worse. Over the last few months I’ve seen open drug dealing, fights, assaults, people being robbed and people off their faces on all sorts. I know this has always happened in that area, but not to this scale.
I’m seeing more homeless people as well, which is spreading out from the gardens now. On one side you’ve got luxury apartments and buildings going up non stop and the other extreme poverty.
Posters might not agree, but I don’t see these same issues in Liverpool (nowhere near the same scale).
The leader of Liverpool council is rag supporting Liam Robinson who is is born in Cheshire. Maybe he gives a fuck not like our leader though.
Maybe he doesn't just focus on where he likes to go to be safe to get the funds and the police etc?

Action plan launched to preserve and protect character of Manchester’s Gay Village - A strategic review has been published on Manchester's Gay Village.
Councillor Bev Craig, Leader of Manchester City Council said: “The Gay Village is not only an incredibly vibrant, welcoming and safe space for our LGBTQ+ community but is a living monument to the progress made by those who fought against bigotry and hatred, and those who dedicated their entire lives to building a more tolerant and inclusive society.
Fuck the "Other" people in Piccadilly Gardens they can very much fend for themselves.
