Can someone who believes in the literal word of the Bible, please explain how the human race continued to procreate once Adam and Eve had produced kids. Whatever way you look at it, it was like a pre-historic Herefordshire.
it's obvious to anyone with an ounce of reasoning that christianity is incompatible with human evolutionary genetics.
like all abrahamic religions, the romans adapted older mesopotamian stories as a means to control the masses & produce great wealth.

in brief, according to old hebrew folklore, adam's first partner was called lilith.
adam and lilith were created, rosh hashanah, from the same dirt/soil.
however, it turned out that lilith was very independently-minded
& upon hearing that she was expected to be subservient to adam she simply left him,
in effect, sticking up the first two fingers in mankind's history,
leaving adam no choice but to create eve from one of his own ribs.
lilth fled into the arms of the archangel samael, who lived in 7th heaven.
although samael had been rather fond of prostitutes lilith became his one true love.
samael's hebrew name tranlates literally as "venom of god" and he was commander of 2million black angels.
he openly championed sinning and became known as satan.
meanwhile (in answer to your original question) eve had 3 sons by adam, but no daughter.
cain and abel were gay, so seth, having no sisters, had to shag his mum,
and that is where we all came from.
