The Positives

Struggling to see any positives today.

Regardless of what happens, we have 3 or 4 years ahead of us now of this cloud hanging over the club, everyone has pronounced us guilty.
The squad needs a major revamp this summer and we could struggle to sign the players we need now.
Pep has been behaving strangely for weeks now and could walk soon.
The morale of the squad has been off for a while now too, I don't see our form on the pitch improving between now and the end of the season.

Whether you think we will be found guilty or not guilty, it very much feels like this period for the club is coming to an end.

It was too good to be true for a while, with us dominating English football and United being an absolute shit show and struggling to get a top 4 finish most seasons. I suppose all good things come to an end.

Do you think people will look back at this time fondly...im not so sure. There hasn't been a wave of unbridled joy sincee Augeroooooment really..Mancini era yes ill take that but generally its been one load of whingers after another sucking the joy outof it all. Feels like im reading the FT than an actual match report...

It’s an absolute privilege to be a city fan. Today we must remember that more than anything.

Unless you are a very recent fan, being a city fan is a path less travelled. The red team up the road soak up the glory fans, supporting city is going against the grain.

But what a delight it is! Meeting fellow blues in any walk of life, you instantly see the same characteristics that we all tend to have. A bit pessimistic, a bit cynical.

Peter Swailes, then Franny Lee and “the only way is up” belting out of the tannoy. Two relegations later and the fans only got louder and more vocal.

Then the money era. That deadline day drama, Kompany, Zabaleta, Toure, Silva, Aguero. Unreal football. And of course Pep. He has destroyed the premier league. Football the like of which this country has never seen, points totals pushed to new highs. Liverpool and united in absolute meltdown.

And even on a dark day when the world seems to be against us, in the main the overriding feeling is “fuck ‘em” and City will be fine any which way. Pannick schools the premier league and we crack on as normal. Or worst case they ridiculously relegate us and strip out titles. Some twat like Gerrard gets a medal in the post. He knows he didn’t win it. They cannot take anything from us. Fuck ‘em we are Manchester City the greatest team in the whole world

I think this time that you can tell the difference between supporters and the bandwagon jumpers.

Don't think this is the beginning of the end, it's just the end of the beginning.

It's been apparent for a few years that we were never going to be welcomed at the trough certain teams were guzzling in. Something was going to have to give, so part of me is glad it's being brought to a head. For some time, my eyes have been glazing over when the media and rival fans come out with their spoonfed gibber. It's become so boring that I really miss the old fashioned proper piss taking between fans.

It will doubtless take some time for this to resolve but I don't think we'll be going back to accepting the dysfunctional relationship of recent years.

What the new world looks like and whether I'll approve of it I have no idea. But this incarnation of the PL and our relationship with it needs to be put out of its misery once and for all.

I see no positives at all from a football point of view.

Football should be a source of entertainment. Disappointments on the pitch is part of being a supporter

But this hypocritical witch hunt whipped up by the cartels lackeys in the media is awful. Can’t get excited about games as ultimately things are being decided in the court. And this could drag on for years.

Love City and will always do so but I fear that ultimately I will totally give up on Football.
