No but I can blame him for not recognising that Kompany is not a DM not in a million years and leaving him out to dry for at least 30 minutes longer than he should. I can blame him for playing Barry who has looked out of touch for some time including the Chelsea game. And I can definitely blame him for the training our defense gets. They have trained together every week, 5 days a week for 4 months, cost a fortune and our defense is worse than the one we had under Pearce.

ok so by your reckoning, no Kompany, no Barry and as De Jong is ill, who exactly would we play in centre midfield.....Ireland and ....er......Ireland?

Zaba before Kompany every time

The thing is it's not fucking reactionary shit and stop saying it's knee-jerk when it's been a long long time he's had to try and fix things and it's the same old shit week after week. Top 4, fucking having a laugh, mate.

Oh fuck off mate. What team of the last 30 years that City has put out has had the heart to come back 3 times away from home to get a point when we were having a bad day and had lots going against us? Sure we shouldn't have played like we did, but you can't say that Hughes hasn't got a lot of things right. There are plenty of questions to be answered yet, but we are well and truly in the fight for the top 4 whether you like it or not. Sometimes I feel that some City fans just love failure and would prefer to see us stuff it up so they can point and say 'told you so!' then to be patient and give things time.

I'd love to hear about your reaction to Tottenhams loss at home to Wolves. Fuck they must be going to be relegated on the basis of your logic!

Re: Any Hughes inners left after that?

barry was outstanding against chelsea, but poor today. I can understand playing kompany at DM for his height today, but not barry and kompany. If it was my team, I'd play 4-2-3-1 week in week out, and build the team around ireland free role/AM, robinho at LW. They were the best players last year, and by switching to 4-4-2, hughes can't play them in their most effective positions. we just don't have the players to field a balanced midfield four, or, at least, hughes doesn't pick the right combination. there is either not enough presence in the centre, or not enough passing ability.

Re: Any Hughes inners left after that?

I'am not mark hughes biggest fan but i thought the fighting spirt in the team was 1st class, yes the defence still needs to be sorted and hopefully this will happen in Jan',but to blame hughes for a dodgy ref' and offside goal is going too far,for fucks sake he can not be responsible for unforseen incidents such as this.We came from behind 3 times and for part of the game with ten men,to be honest at one point i felt we would go on to win.Give hughes a break, as i said some things are out of his control.

Any Hughes inners left after that?

Jeez, there really are some reactionary turds on this forum! Talk about "I want it now".

The Hughes outers can surely feel free to exercise their managerial superiority when they get their hands in their pockets and buy ADUG out of the club.

FFS............We're right at the start of building something spectacular here, and all you want to do is whinge. Unbeleivable!

Re: Any Hughes inners left after that?

This season was always going to be about improvement, if you can't see the signs of that then you're blind as fuck. Anytime soon we will click and all the other teams will be kicking themselves about not making the ground on US. Bluemoon is rising.

All I know is that draws against Birmingham, Wigan, Burnley, Fulham, Hull, and Bolton ain't good enough. We conceeded 10 goals in those games, only keeping a clean sheet in one.
We also only had slender 1-0 wins against Wolves and Pompey.

I seriously would have expected this team to hammer at least one of them. It's all well and good going unbeaten, but you've also got to be beating teams at the same time.

Any other season playing like this would have seen us well behind 4th spot, but as it is we've been lucky with others results and performances.

So what you are saying is that the league is shit when playing us, but not so for anyone else? The gap between the bottom half and the top half, and the top 6 and the top 4 is much more narrow this season. Games are harder to win.

So I take it that all you inners are happy with a point from the 2nd from bottom team who only managed 17 goals in 14 games before today. It sounds as though that level of performance is acceptable to you. I rather hoped when ADUG came in we would be winning something.

Yes - sack Redkanpp too - Wolves have been crap this season too and they've just beaten Spurs. We can just do musical chairs for managers every time the result doesn't go their way!

In my view I have never seen a City team fight like this - and today they were robbed by some awful decisions - where has this fighting spirit come from that has seen them only lose once all season? Perhaps Hughes can take some credit for it...? Oh and I forgot to mention a cup semi final.....

For god sake we are two points adrift from 3rd place!

Re: Any Hughes inners left after that?

Well done City. Great point. Watched the whole match, SWP was kicked off the pitch, the excuse for a ref gave us nothing and them EVERYTHING. Can Clattenburg really be that bad or is there an agenda. We played 10 men against 12 for much of the match. Well done City....HUGHES IN
