The pre match in stadium entertainment/build up is shocking

Razzmataz to keep the tourists entertained. Saw a few with half City, Utd scarves having their pics took in fromt of the squad photo in the square yesterday.

I think they'd be happy if us all of us proper football fans, proper City fans, all fucked off and it was a stadium of geeky no marks, tourists and middle class families.

City are becoming a proper sad act club!

That is their obvious objective.
They do not want the average / normal City fans anymore. So how do they get rid of them?
keep cranking up the prices, make the atmosphere shit, make it cheesy and Americanized.
Encourage the corporates, encourage half & half scarves. Encourage selfies.
We will soon all fuck off - and we are!
Job almost done.

The pre-match is cringe worthy. I actually feel embarrassment through association. Let's make a start on cleaning the act up by getting rid of those two clowns who advertise the programme with that hilarious double act they do, they make The Krankies look top draw entertainment.

I watch non league a lot...if you haven't tried it give it a whirl. There is no cheesy shite and you are very much appreciated.I know the standard isn't there but the passion and intensity makes up for it and there is some very good football played.Off to Nantwich Tuesday to watch the mighty Darlington FC.

I think City are beyond saving now.I cant believe that on the surveys they send out that we have asked for some kid screaming nonsense on the big screen or some useless twat kicking a ball through a hoop.Or to hear about someone winning a car however pleased we may all be for him.

Couldn't we just have SKY Sports News for HTs on the big screen or if not do our own version, thats what fans want?

Its been like this for years now. Ive given up caring tbh just makes me prefer to watch it on the telly.

Wish them three presenters would just fuck off though. And dont get me started on that 'i play for you' montage.
That montage was good once and once only! Talk about over playing!

This is the future of our club lads, new badge and all. Give it a few years and a lot of our diehard fans will be longing for the day of the parrot and three stars which represented mediocre but affordable football without the side portion of cheese.
New badge? It's hardly new, it's the re introduction of an old favorite with a tweak or two here and there. As for the parrot, that was the beginning of cringe.

Going up the spiral to my seat in 304, I saw a woman taking a picture for 2 Korean "supporters". Very nice, I thought, until she said she was from (somewhere in) America!

These out of towners, eh?

When I first went to Maine Road, I was looked upon as an out of towner, as I was from Ashton! How times have changed.

Couldn't put it better myself. It's like watching kids tv and her voice is so fucking annoying, especially at the volume it was yesterday. They should have just played highlights of the 1-6 game to get the fans in the mood instead of this shite. The most embarrassing bit was when they had a kid on the screen who looked about 10 years old giving us his favourite derby memory, it's not the kids fault but jesus christ I bet the red bastards in the away end were pissing themselves.
Sort it out City!!

Exactly. I always go onto the concourse at half time to try and get the scores (not always successfully) and avoid the cheesefest that is going on on the pitch. Before the game it's as if they're trying to kill any atmosphere from building within the stadium. Our match day experience is shite. If they did absolutely nothing before the match: no presenters, no videos and no music it would be an improvement on what we have now. By all means have the events on at City Square for those who want them but inside the stadium, no. It's just not the football experience I was brought up on or want.
