imo THE greatest tv show ever made with THE greatest theme tune, nothing has ever come close, the British are unbeatable at some things

I watched every single episode when it was shown on C4 in 1983 (84??) - sat there waiting for the final episode..... with the beers.... and fell asleep half way through it and have never seen the end since!

Was massively influenced by it, remember at the dole office going on with myself when asked for my National Insurance number, saying ''I am not a number'' ha ha.
Visited Portmerion twice, fantastic place.

Two bands who filmed a video there and used clips of the programme

Siouxsie & The Banshees at Portmerion

cheers mate, didnt know about those vids

I loved the way the final episode was so oblique and just fucking weird :)

thats what made it so brilliant

One of the greatest TV series ever made, years ahead of its time.

Patrick MacGoohan was an under-rated genius.

While it might just have been a clever re-working of Orwell's 1984, it was no less profound for all that.

To this day it is still my favourite programme. Like the poster above, I caught it in the 80s, and just couldn't wait for the next episode. I sat and watched the last episode, and was simply overawed by it. Couldn't believe what I had watched - simply stunning and genius TV.
