Van marke showed a lack of experience. He should have sat on Fabian more than he did, Fabian would have had no choice but to keep pulling as the favorite. He lost by a bike length having led out the Sprint. Great race but I hope next year it's a wet one for a change.

Enjoy the crashes do you? ;-)

Lol yes I suppose but what I'm after its one of those iconic races where they are called in mud and its a proper war of attrition.

Did you see the rider who hit the central reservation?

That had to hurt, it was a french guy i think.

First of the Ardennes Classics triple on Sunday, so don't forget to set your SKY+ those that are Wembley bound.

Amstel Gold Race made for good watching. Can't wait for Fleche Walloone!

I'll do this as a spoiler just in case anyone is still hoping to catch up on it.

It certainly did, extremely strong ride from Kreuziger, pleased for him as he's clearly a talented rider and maybe this move will allow him to flourish.

It's funny how post Oman and prior to the spring classics the collective wisdom seemed to be that Sagan was going to completely sweep the board, yet as it stands (if we include Strade Bianchi) he's only won one of the seven big races, and most likely wont win the next two either - just goes to show how unpredictable cycling can be

Not a great race yesterday, but really chuffed for Dani Moreno given all the work he does for Purito, I didn't think he had a dig like that him in. Betancur's attack was very strong too. Surprised to see Ritchie Porte dropped when he was, but I don't think these classics are much of an indicator of form for the big guns really.

I'd picked Santambrogio for the win prior to the stage at Trentino, so was a little disappointed he couldn't close the gap at the end,. Good ride from him though.
