The Pro Road Cycling Thread

4 hours of watching a breakaway and then 30 seconds of sprinting isn’t for me I’m afraid and as ever, the race will come alive when we hit those big fucking ramps!
Agree with that. I love the big hills. Went for a ride this morning and hit a pretty decent ascent, but it was short. I realised these guys go up ramps like that for hours......

It's the speed they go up that's the crazy thing imo...if you've ever stood on one of the big Alpine ramps when they're going up, their speed is just stupid fast.

Back in the day I did a bit of racing and could climb to a reasonable standard, including big stuff in the Alps etc. These guys go up these mountains at literally 2x the speed I could, and at the far end of 200km racing already in their legs. The cameras & overhead shots don't really capture it. They're freaks.

I know it’s not Road, but magnificent MTB World Cup win from Pidcock earlier today.

Just caught up on the TT after the footy - unusually exciting!
Bit gutted for G there at the end, but him and Tao look safe bets for a podium place for one of them, who knows, maybe even better.

G looks in very good nick as does Tao, Pidcock is a ridiculous talent
