I've not seen much cycling so far this season, with one thing or another, watched today though, good race and fair play to Kristoff winning, thought Cav was going to do it for a moment. Great result for Swift as well.
Yeah was really pleased for Swifty as he had bad time last season with injuries.

Thought Cav was going to do it, but after that mileage in the rain and hail he didnt have anything left did he.

100k too much for Cav to have owt left for a full-blooded sprint. Surprised at Kristoff winning that!

Cav's won it before mate, think the conditions went against him today.

Gutted I didn't catch MSR yesterday, sounded like a good race.

Nice to see Adam Yates on the startlist of the Tour of the Catalunya. Hope his move to Orica Greenedge turns out well for him.

Pretty surprised Cav didn't take it in the end. The apparent ease with which he hung in on the Poggio gave he impression that he was nailed on for the sprint, but guess looks can be deceptive and he didn't have the legs. Chuffed for Ben Swift, great ride for him.

Should be an entertaining week at Catalunya, not sure any of the top guys will be at the best or going 100% for this one, but it should still be interesting none the less. Good performances from Edmonson and Yates would be nice.

Good racing today lads, really enjoyable but the camera man missed the finish line lol.

I didnt realise what a quality field of GC contenders were in the race. Probs only Valverde and Nibali missing from the worlds best

Catalunya

Interesting final 5km today, surprised that Froome and Quintana didn't attack further down the mountain. Leaving it that late was always going to play into Purito's hands, the accelerations he does on climbs like that is just ridiculous. So much faster than everybody else. Good to see the four big guys up there though.

Catalunya today, first mountain stage, not steep or sustained enough for Froome or Contador to show their full hand really.

I'm fascinated in a freak show kind of way to see how the most recent Grand Tour winner is going to fair in this event and across the rest of the season ;-)
Not much sign of him on the coverage today.
