Are you just following me from thread to thread, rubbishing my Petrov full-back agenda?

He doesn't need to tackle, just pressure the ball, track his runner etc. I read an article the other day and, according to the Opta stats, Ashley Cole hasn't tackled anyone since October 2007.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I am following you from thread to thread, that would be more ridiculous than the crazy notion that Petrov would make a good left back, it is MARTIN Petrov you were referring to isn't it, the one who used to play for us?

just a question, mr coleridge, and it might sound daft, but how did ashley cole break his leg? did he not tackle mr donovan?

Look, I don't have all the answers. It's a matter of opinions, at the end of the day, and I happen to be of the view that Martin Petrov, if deployed correctly, could be one of the top three full-backs/wing-backs in the Premier League.

I don't have to sit here and be interrogated.

it is the obvious place for someone who cannot tackle to play, we should have seen it a lot sooner

i think mancini rates bridge.. plus we have lescott.he might be thinking playing lescott in that role.

I find it quite disturbing we haven't been linked to a LB at all this summer. If we're going to stay with our current LB personnel, I'd want Lescott over Bridge.
